LONG BIO
SheBeat picked up her guitar and stepped into the live music scene in Liverpool at the end of the summer of 2012. Singing original songs from the start, filling the in-between bits with stories and smiles, SheBeat isn't quite like anyone else. After a gigtastic year learning her stage craft on the open mic scene in Liverpool, Chester and surrounding North West area, SheBeat soon graduated to billed gigs and local festivals.
In 2014, SheBeat published a self-titled debut EP featuring tracks Mine, Freaky Crazy, Always on the Run and She Never Sleeps Alone. Recorded in a home studio by producer Darren Jones, with Beach Boys-style keys and backing vocals from We Are Catchers' Peter Jackson.
Next chance to record was 2015 and a second EP at The Motor Museum with producer James Mellor. Featuring title track Feels Like, Rainproof, Yours Sincerely, and for the limited edition CD, recordings of Until Now and Hairy Boy Blues. Going for a more stripped-back sound with no frills to try and capture the live, intimate experience of her live performances.
In 2018 SheBeat released her recording of Until Now as a digital single for the first time, then in summer 2019, she released a live recording of Feels Like, recorded Live at The Bedford in Balham.
A third EP was released in November 2019, recorded, mixed and mastered at DROMA Records with Jack Tasker in Birmingham. Featuring 3 new songs including title track Catch Your Breath, Untethered (co-written with friend Dave Ridley) and Impossible on the digital edition, plus a new stripped-back recording of her audience-favourite Freaky Crazy on the CD edition.
In 2020 SheBeat released single Marry Me, for Leap Day. The latest release, Lockdown Limbo, is out on May 3. The song was written during the early days of COVID lockdown, and produced remotely with help from Brawsome Productions' Ian White in Edinburgh. All singles and EPs are available for streaming and downloads on SheBeat Records published via Ditto Music.

Lockdown inspo
Lockdown has been bringing all the creativity to the front & it's been wonderful to watch so may live streams on social media from bedrooms, lounges and gardens across the globe... Never one not to #joinin I also have been doing live stream gigs and even attempted a lockdown episode of SheBeat Meets in the comfort of the Facebook group... you can catch up just head over and look at the videos menu...
I've written a lockdown song - who hasn't? But I am loving it cos my friend & producer Ian White at Brawsome Productions in Edinburgh added all kinds of sixties lushness to my original vocals & guitar... you can hear it during a #ListeningParty on Friday May 1 @shebeatmusic Insta, FB and Twittering (tech allowing, anyone else finding the wifi melting under all the staying home extra pressure on the broadband in your postcode?) at 7pm... you can stream it in all the digital places from Sunday May 3
I've also been taking time to create some YouTube content for us to enjoy - so look that up & I've been transcribing and updating episodes of SheBeat Meets for SLAG Mag, which has been enjoyable - remember you can binge catchup/ listen again to all the Brum Radio episodes here
Stay safe Beat lovers xox

Tracklisting Party
A debut album is no simple project... what tracks to choose to sit together forever (at least on the physical vinyl I am hoping to create), where to record, who with etc is all much to consider!
To this end I have decided to take the next few months to talk with my SheBeat circle of lovers, to decide on what existing tracks and write some new potential tracks for my album, which I hope to record & release before the end of 2020...
How then to gather the peeps? I figure why leave my bedroom when I can invite you all in via the power of social media live streaming!
Keep your eyes on my social feed @shebeatmusic and help me to choose my debut album tracklisting… #comingsoon

Data says yes
It's 2020, another exciting year of SheBeat adventures to look forward to... #thatsright Beat lovers ;)
The data is in: we have so much data! The best thing about publishing in the digital places is all the data you get back - what languages do people who listen/ follow you speak - pirate?! Brilliant! Where are people streaming you? How many plays did you get on this platform vs that platform? Meanwhile I got bit by the merch bug and SheBeanies and personalised pencils have made it into the world - see me for £/p+p deets
Thanks for your continued support, I am super grateful for the encouragement/ plays/ shares/ love sent my way thru all my projects - look out for new music from me this year starting with a single dropping next month for Leap Day & a couple more releases planned before the autumn when I will launch my debut album crowdfunder
Look out for me playing live near you too - and if you see a venue/ festival you think would be perfect please drop me a line or a tweet about it - I'm also available for house gigs if that's more your thing...
Follow me on social @shebeatmusic and you'll never miss out on the SheBeat adventures!
