SheBeat EPK

SHORT BIO

SheBeat is a UK singer songwriter with perfect portions of hum-along, toe-tapping acoustic indie folk pop. Three self-published EPs have been well-received by fans and are available on all popular digital platforms for streaming. This storytelling indie artist loves performing live to audiences of all sizes, with plenty of intimate gigs and festival stages under her belt.

LONG BIO & RELEASES

SheBeat picked up her guitar and stepped into the live music scene in Liverpool at the end of the summer of 2012. Singing original songs from the start, filling the inbetween bits with stories and smiles, SheBeat isn't quite like anyone else. After a gig-tastic year learning her stage craft on the open mic scene in Liverpool, Chester and surrounding North West area, SheBeat soon graduated to billed gigs and local festivals.

In 2014, SheBeat published a self-titled debut EP featuring tracks Mine, Freaky Crazy, Always on the Run and She Never Sleeps Alone. Recorded in a home studio by producer Darren Jones, with Beach Boys-style keys and backing vocals from We Are Catchers' Peter Jackson.
Next chance to record was 2015 and a second EP at The Motor Museum with producer James Mellor. Featuring title track Feels Like, Rainproof, Yours Sincerely, and for the limited edition CD, recordings of Until Now and Hairy Boy Blues. Going for a more stripped-back sound with no frills to try and capture the live, intimate experience of her live performances.

In 2018 SheBeat released her recording of Until Now as a digital single for the first time, then in summer 2019, she released a live recording of Feels Like, recorded Live at The Bedford in Balham.

A third EP was released in November 2019. Featuring 3 new songs including title track Catch Your Breath, Untethered (co-written with friend Dave Ridley) and Impossible on the digital edition, plus a new stripped-back recording of her audience-favourite Freaky Crazy on the CD edition.

In 2020 SheBeat released single Marry Me, for Leap Day. The latest release, Lockdown Limbo, is out on May 3. The song was written during the early days of COVID lockdown, and produced remotely with help from Brawsome Productions' Ian White in Edinburgh. All singles and EPs are available for streaming and downloads on SheBeat Records published via Ditto Music.
